FYI--GTG--in Florida

I won't be available this year...at least I am hoping to be in Baha.....but from experience you plan it and the folks that can come come. Many are available and make it that may not have responded to the first query. So go for it....and while it is great to attract large numbers, because it is so much fun and so many newbys show up, real fun does not translate directly in proportion to size..... It is possible to have more than one gtg in FL at different times. I am thinking of last winter. There was the big one in Hillsborough and the smaller one later in the keys....and the one Liz and I had in the Everglades.....they just keep rolling along. It isn't as if we (those of us that are retired) were going to head right back up north to the cold and ice!

I'm definitely in for one or many for this upcoming winter. I should be back down there from the end of October on until spring and the too-hot weather. Exploring smaller parks would be fun, also.

I will be down there and wherever the GTG or GTG's are at, I hope to be also. Manatee sounds great and I have never been there, but it is kinda north and I remember one year in Ocala, getting out in the morning to snow on my picnic table. Its not something that happens all of the time, but for those who like to stay fairly warm just thought I should mention this But I'm for wherever the majority would like to congregate, I think sometime in Jan. is good for the major one, seems most can or are in Fl at that time. But I'll go with the flow .

I have quite a few family and friends down there, so can't do much on organizing. I will be busy with them. But will do anything else that is needed during the GTG. Looking forward to it.

Okay, glad to see some progress I'll be in FL from Nov thru Jan, I think. Will be happy to attend any gtg that arises during that time! (oh, but again I'll probably be a day camper or stay just a couple nights depending on cost --cheapo me!)

I plan to be in FL also and attend gtg wherever. Very flexible on both time and location.
