TX GTG - March 2012

I made it home about 7:00 tonight. A really long day, 465 miles. I left Karen, Carolyn and Gloria at a Flying J to boondock. I boondocked on the Blueridge Parkway and It's boring. My generator won't start so like Alice I will be heading to the shop. It was really windy all the way but what's new. lol

Thanks to Bob, Pete, Alice and Beth for the GTG and everyone for all the good food. So good to see old friends and meet new ones.

If I didn't need to get home I would have joined the ones that went to Goliad.

Glad you made it home okay Martha. My son came through your way yesterday. There was a hazmat accident near Lafayette and they routed them over to 90 so he spent an extra hour or so in your area.

There was an accident between Crowley and Jennings on the West bound side. It was 2 18-wheelers, one carrying big, round bales of hay and they caught on fire. The news said it happened about 2:00 am and they were still cleaning it up about 6:00 pm. The police were stopping all the West bound traffic at the first Crowley exit. I exit at Crowley and go South so there was a big traffic jam. I need to get a CB installed. If I had know, I would have gone South at Jennings.

I'm so glad I came on, it is raining big time. I hope Carolyn, Karen and Gloria make it ok. I usually don't drive that far but when I'm coming home I know they have to take me in.

FYI:

I picked up my RV from the repair shop today. The problem with not getting propane from the new tank was not the tank. It was the hose going to the tank. Glad it is repaired and ready for the next trip.

As soon as I am through editing my photos from the GTG, I will post a few.
