City and State: Dillon, MT (25 miles south of Dillon)
Date: 7/2014 and 8/2014
Name of CG: Clark Canyon Reservoir
CG Website:
Overall Rating: 8
Pros: This park can handle any size and configuration of rig. Easy to drop a boat in the water. Some sites have shelters over the tables and some have tables just sitting out. Restrooms are available and water must be hand pumped, and pumped and pumped.
Cons: The main campground is also used to drop boats into the water. It can be very noisy and very crowded.
Comments: There are 5 campgrounds around the CCReservoir. I visited each but only stayed at the main campground. Cell and data service, AT&T and Verizon were easily accessible, though data was 3G. These campgrounds are administered by the Bureau of Reclamation. In AllStays. No services!
