Last weekend I launched Joy for her 2013 season, but I couldn't get away until late afternoon Saturday and needed to be back on Sunday. I chose a campground I had never explored but knew was close by, Riverside State Park, on the Spokane River. What a gem in my own backyard! It was 12 miles from home, about 30 minutes away. My friend, Kari, went along for the fun. We didn't get there until about 4:30 Saturday and the place was full. :o I had no idea! The only spot left was the ADA site, which would be available after 6 if not occupied. I checked with the campground host, who figured it was late enough in the day it'd be okay, so that's where we ended up. Whew!

This was just upstream from our site.
