Not loving it

Not loving it

I am at South Beach State Park on the Oregon coast just south of Newport. Never been here before; won't come again. Way too many mosquitoes, way too far from the beach for my old legs and not a dumpster or trash can in sight. Water and electric only for $29.

Bummer! The nice thing about having an RV is it's mobile 8-) NEXT?

That's one to put on the no thanks list! Wow $29 for I'd expect better than what you found.
I guess I should make a list because we do o to Oregon once in a while.

That's a bummer! I always heard Oregon State parks are so nice.

I stayed at South Beach and it wasn't my favorite - but is for many - the place was packed when I was there. Sorry you had this experience.

I was there last September but it was not crowded and no bugs so I liked it. I rode my bike to the beach and to town.

Wish they had bug "weather" maps so you would know how to avoid them. They can make a nice place miserable.

The park is nice enough and if you have a bike there are paved trails and you can go to the day-use area about a half mile from the cg and get to the beach that way.
