City and State: Startzville, TX
Date: 11/2014

Name of CG: Cranes Mill campground

CG Website: COE

Overall Rating: 7

Pros: Pretty much back in sites. You can pull forward, but it is not easy. Limited trees makes for nice sunny sites in spring, fall and winter, but hot in summer.

Cons: Summer camper are very loud, noisy, and trashy. I try not to stay in the summer.

Comments: Price keeps increasing. Getting to be pricey for what you get. sites are cement, with electric and water. Winter RV cg has one restroom facility. Dump on the way out. Located West of New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, TX and North of San Antonio area.

Rate: $ keeps changing.

I LOVE this park and its my go-to place for a quick getaway. Have never seen it "trashy" but then I try always to camp Sundays thru Friday mornings to avoid weekend campers with kids. Its smaller than Potters Creek so fewer people. Haven't noticed the rates changing as its a COE park and always half price.

Thanks Karen. It has gone from $18 to $26 a night. Of course half price is a pretty good deal, but if you are looking for a monthly rate it goes to $390 and NOT full hook ups. That is one of the reasons I am not considering winter there. Glad you are liking it!
