If anyone is interested, I got the neatest setup to clean my RV. You can get it from Amazon or directly from the manufacturer website, Aero Cosmetics. The cleaner is called Wash Wax All. You can buy it by the gallon and then transfer it into a spray bottle. Then there's a mop head and handle that works great. The head has two sides with two cleaning pads that attach with Velcro. The pads are washable and you get two extra sets with the mop order. One side is for "wet" and the other is for "dry." In addition, the mop handle is very well built and extends. I can reach all the way to the top of the area over the cab. You don't have to get out a hose, bucket and sponge. Just spray some of the cleaner/wax on the wet side of the mop head and on the RV. You wipe it down and then flip the mop over to the dry side and dry it. It's so easy. Granted my RV is small, 25 ft., but I can completely clean it in about 30 minutes. I really like that I can clean it right where I store it rather than having to drive to my house. I think this would be great for full timers or anyone with an RV.

We've had a lot of rain in California recently. And yesterday I went to check on my RV, run the generator and take it out for a little exercise. When I got back, I noticed it was a little dirty and decided to just go over it quickly by spraying the cleaner on the mop. I didn't bother spraying on the RV. I managed to go over the entire thing in about 10-15 minutes. Cleanest RV in the storage!!! Just a side note, they use this stuff to clean airplanes!

Actually you don't have to buy the whole set. I just got the Wash Wax All and the mop. However, I imagine the bug stuff would be good too.

This sounds great Sandi! I have water issues around washing my rig in both CA and TX so this looks like a good solution. Thanks!

I use the old fashioned sort of car wash where you drive your car in and then walk around with a high pressure water wash thingum.
There's one near me that's got a long enough hose to do the RV.

(Alternatively, I'm a member of a DIY shop that has one as well)

And on at least one occasion I cut a deal with a school band group that was doing a car wash fund raiser. Enthusiastic kids and I felt like my money was going to a good place!

I'm at the age and stamina level that I happily pay someone to wash and wax once a year. I rinse it off myself.

Good to know. I will keep that product in mind.

I a 35 footer..I use a wash and & wax product, then rinse with hose. I don't dry, I let it drip dry.

This wash/wax & mop system really works. Thanks Sandi. Have used it on my car 2X but haven't tackled the RV yet. I might get the bug stuff though to use along with it.

I've put it on my wish list. No place to store more stuff right now. And my car is SO dirty ... RV isn't bad, took it through a Blue Beacon before parking here ... am happy with what they do for the price. Will have a service wash before I leave - at $1.50 a foot, good deal for a hand-wash. If I want them to wax, have to pay an additional $6 a foot.

But, I should wash more often, and something that's that easy ... well sounds perfect to me.

I had a service that came to the house & washed and waxed mine for $2.00 a foot. Now I'm really feeling like it was a good deal!

That's an exceptional deal if they waxed also for that. Hopefully you kept their #.

I think my brain had a blow out, it was $10.00 a foot so guess it wasn't such a good deal.

So far I think the $100 deal we got fro a wash and wax at Ditto Landing in Huntsville, AL, was mighty fine.......those young guys sure do scamper up and down ladders better than I can. The only thing Sarah and I had to purchase was the special roof treatment (if we wanted it applied) because they guys didn't have any. Now we both have enough for next time, too!

Next time mine needs it I should drive to Huntsville to visit and the savings would almost cover the cost of the trip!

and I don't think Sarah even got a kick back for referring the work..... Like Beth mentioned, I can get a pretty good wash at one of the local truck washes about 20 minutes up the road for only about $10/foot plus $15 for the roof....but have been very bad at the waxing part for years. Now I just need to plan on periodic visits in Huntsville.
