I carry an air compressor for both the truck and the trailer. I have had to use it once on the road for the truck. I usually check the trailer tires before the start of every trip. Some people check them every day before driving.

I carry a fairly substantial air compressor for my bike, but I have not been able to figure out how to check my tires myself. They were fine at the last oil change and will be getting them checked again soon. I tried to buy a long thing to check the duallys but could not get it to work and took it back.
Tire pressure really worries me, frankly, so I need to check it more often. The air compressor was a gift from my son several years ago, and I had the room in one of my basement compartments, so brought it along. Anyone is welcome to use it at a get-together or wherever we meet up. I have all the end things for it so I can blow up inflatable toys and such.

Donna, I walk around and do a visual on my rig and toad every time before I drive. After sitting for awhile, I check the air. When on the road I stop periodically at any tire place and ask them to check all my tires. I don't carry a compressor. Oh, and no tire place has ever charged me. Do not do that at rv places. Some actually charge to check air. Even if you're there for other work.

We have 2 compressors with us....1 is a 12 volt portable which is under the seat in the truck.....the other is a little larger and is in a tote in the storage of the 5er....after the "summer of flat tires" a couple years back, we "don't leave home without them"
, even thou there are new tires on both the truck and 5er....Ernie checks tire pressure once a month while sitting, along with the fluid levels in the batteries, and starts our portable generator. All are checked before we hit the road, too...

I have an air compressor I carry in one of my storage bins. I also have tire pressure monitors and I check the pressure in my tires with this before every drive. So far, have not had to put air in any of the tires, but have the compressor in case I do. It was one of the things Chuck said I needed to keep with me on the road. He really expressed to me how important it was to know what was going on with my tires before any drive. Donna, be sure and check your tire pressure when your tires before you do any driving. That is what Chuck told me. He said that is when you get an accurate reading.

Any Les Schwab will check your tires for free and air them up if needed.

Grammy - you can go to a Discount Tire or a NTB and they will also check the air. I don't have to worry about dual axles or tires, so I do my own checking and fill up at the service station (actually the one at Wal-Mart by my house since I know I can get in and out with no problems). It does cost me to use the air but it's less than $2 and is easier than setting up the compressor.
