sewer hose recommendation?

I've done a couple of searches, just sure that you've already covered this, but couldn't find the answer. I was told there would be a sewer hose in the bumper, but nope, nada. So, keeping in mind that at this point I only know that i need it to get the poop from the black tank to the dump station hole, what do you recommend that I buy?

Not recommending any one product but today I bought a new one for my new to me trailer. Bought it at WalMart for I think $30. It's a ?? good grief! I've forgotten already!! Sheesh!   Any way they really only had 2 different ones with pre-attached couplings. It's actually 2 hoses that you can use separately if you only need a short length of hose or put them together and then it's one long hose. I really liked that idea big time. And if you do end up getting that one? What ever you do, make sure that the 2 of them are connected together when you slide them into the bumper! I think it was a Rhino but don't hold me to that!!!

And Wal-Mart does carry Rhino - that's what I have. And I don't store mine in the bumper because I understand water can collect in the bottom of the bumper and rust causing rough spots that then cause holes in the hose. I store mine in a flat tote in my outside compartment. I just rinse it really well when I finish dumping, coil it up and snap the lid on. The donut fitting fits in the same tote.

OK, Thanks. Walmart for a Rhino it is. Then to figure out the puzzle of hooking it all up and what the heck the donut's for, and I might be ready to hit the road soon. ;)

I took my friend, Kari, with me when I went looking at RVs yesterday and she gave me a great idea. Because of the potential rust as Maggie mentioned, she found PVC pipe in the right length and same diameter as the bumper and attached it above the bumper to hold the sewer hose. She can run water through to clean it without any fear of rust and the bumper's end fittings work in the PVC pipe too.

I know people have trouble with the rust and holes. I've gotten holes in mine and had to replace, but not from the rust in there - and my rig is a 99. So I don't worry about that - as I figure no matter how good the hose is, I'll end up having something happen and have to replace. One cg once replaced my hose when they mowed over it. Ha - lots of cg's have signs saying they aren't responsible, but that time the guy was so embarrassed I think he would have been happier to have replaced it before I ever found out!

The donut fits down into the sewer connection. It's to keep sewer gases and the odors from escaping back out by providing a tight fit between the sewer hose (also known as the stinky slinky) and the sewer connection. In some states, they are required.

we did the pvc on the bumper also, when we had a bumper. No can do on the Admiral so I have to coil it and store it in a cubby. What I found was an old litter box that fits in the cubby (our sewer connection is also in the cubby so I have less 'head' room). The little depression curve where the kitty enters the box solved the problem, that one opening fits under the sewer connection. I just have to make sure the hose is well cleaned out before curling it into the litter box

cute note: I found this plastic pink piggy that you fill with water and it fits over the hose and 'donut' to hold the hose down over the sewer hole. It's really cute and has gotten many comments. I think I'll paint some real long eyelashes on her and maybe some flowers (or make a tutu). Gonna have fun with it.

After experiencing the dreaded mess of the hose coming out on my last dump, I was interested in something of this ilk.
I see CW sells some hose weights but are on backorder so I did a little net surfing and found this sight.

Would be interested where you got your pig.

On edit: found a website. http://www.rvupgradestore.com/Sewie-Pig ... 1-0000.htm

Better buy a litter of piglets as those get stolen quickly. Cute as all get out. Sandbag works excellent and will conform to your end of sewer hose. Easy to make.

Guess we've been lucky then, our piggy is still around. Maybe I'll put some kind of ID on her and put her on a leash. That should add to the whimsy! maybe hot pink

Well, this is all promising to be a lot of good times, I can tell that! ;) I was dead set on using the Luggable Loo and using peat moss in it in my little trailer that had only a closet. I'm beginning to consider that method again after pondering how a first-timer, piggy or no piggy, can keep from making an m-e-s-s! ;)
