2004 4X4 Sierra 2500 6.6 Durmax Diesel? Anyone?

There's a truck down the street, in my price range, anyone have any experience? I've noticed there was a recall for steering and brakes, in 2006, which obviously is serious, but not necessarily every truck is bad? Any opinions or experience on this model?

I have a 2006 2500 HD Silverado, but is is a gas engine. I do love the pickup and have only had regular maintenance and tire replacement. Sorry, can't be more help. What do you want to tow? A little more info would help. Linda

I have a 2002 4X4 Sierra 2500 Durmax with tow package and is an excellent pickup. No problems other than regular maintance.
