Type of Caulk?

..

I found a couple of "iffy" spots around the lights on my little trailer. I'd like to put a touch of caulk on them, just to be sure.

Early last Spring, I had the entire trailer inspected for trouble spots by my dealer.
The trailer has hardly been out from under its shelter since then - I think just the trip in May to meet Doofus and Ronnie.

So, what's the right caulk for this application?

Mitch, what is the outside covered with?
Is it aluminum or fiberglass? On the fiberglass forum, anything with silicone is a BIG no no and I think with the airstream (aluminum) it is also.
I just bought Parbond for Molly. Highly recommended for aluminum, comes in several colors and remains flexible. Air forum people says in lasts for YEARS.
If the siding is fiberglass go with a caulk even from home depot but NO SILICONE!!
Even tho the Mobile has been under cover, she gets wrinkles too and just needs a little makeup!

Don't I know it (firsthand)

The trailer is fiberglass. Further research has shown this to be a really good choice...

I don't know ProFlex - other than CW recommended a caulk for my rubber roof that wouldn't stick to it - probably had silicone in it - and they sell that. I make sure I get Dicor for that. If the place you are caulking can use silicone, then that should work. (Edit to say - I don't KNOW that has siicone in it - and it looks like it might not but doesn't give what is in it on the sales page at CW - at least not that I found).

The caulk will dry just being. Just like the caulk in your bathroom at home. Use doesn't actually impact it. Normally leak repair should be part of your tools - well if you full-time it should.

I had etrna bond for the roof when limbs jump down and hit it (kapow, bang, whop) then jump back on the tree. That happened with Bunkie. If your roof is rubber Mitch, I'll give you a couple of pieces of etrna bond for your tool kit.

New rig has a fiberglass (hard) roof. Haven't yet picked up anything for edges. Haven't finished reading the books. May not need anything.

A friend of mine just used Eternabond then caulk to stop a pesky leak around a sunlight over the shower - roof is fiberglass. So, those "seams" are still dangerous.
