driving on flat dual

I had another blowout (yes, yes, new tires for the back are a high priority) , this time in the back, outside dual.

I was just coming off a bridge, a couple miles from Tech Shop, so I went ahead and drove there at about 10-20 MPH.
I did stop and look at the thing, the inner still had air.

Was I

a) crazy
b) reasonable
c) reasonable, but probably ruined the other tire of the dual?

I won't do the a, b or c - but you should be okay for that distance with careful driving - although it is putting lots of weight on the one tire. Many people drive with one of those low on air, or sometimes even flat, without knowing it. You knew and drove carefully. And, yes, get those tires.

I don't know if you've got any kind of stabilizers on your rig, but if you do you might consider using them to help take the weight off of that side. While they're NOT supposed to be used for jacks, It sure beats the heck of ending up with 2 flats and possibly ruined rims. Depending on where you are, you might consider getting some sort of actual hydrolic jack to put on that side of your rig.

Sure hope you can get a new tire tomorrow.
