Zero Turn Mower - Running With Choke On

Anyone know if operating (blades engaged) a monster zero-turn lawn beast with the choke on will do any kind of damage to the machine?
(every day presents a new challenge(s), doesn't it?)

Choke just gives it more gas than it needs. Mine won't run with the choke on full. So other than too much gas, think you will be fine.

I agree with Nan...just gives the engine more gas. I've accidently run the quad with the choke full on and all it did was get me stuck on the side of a sand hill...no power. So in my professional  opinion, you're good to go.

Thank you, ladies. Now I won't have to fight with you-know-who to let me do the mowing (as long as he stays away from the pond.)
(I sure as heck didn't want to put another $650 into it!!) :(

Mitch, Glad this one shouldn't cost you any money. But how do you keep him away from the pond?

I can't. That's why I don't want him to wear the seat belt.
I listen for the mower sound, and if I don't hear it for 30 seconds or so, I go looking for him!
(if I'm in the house, I turn the volume on the surveillance system really loud.)
I suppose I could do the perimeter of the pond before he does...so what if he gets mad, right?

Thanks, Carolyn. I've also been blessed for these 40 years...
We've been quite the pair over time. Sad to see it's over.

But now I have the baby I never had. :o
Oh, my bad.
I tell ya - I'm going to Hell...

Stay safe. I hope your move goes without a hitch and the water never materializes (if that's possible).

Just make sure you can out-run him when he's on that mower. ;)

Mitch, you can always put the arm floaties on (the kind little kids use in the pool) before George sets off to mow the grass. Mower sinks, George floats. {{{{HUGS}}}} Linda

He's agreed to wear them when within 20' of the pond...
(I couldn't get the Snoopy floaties past his hands, even though he's down to about 140#!)
