Black and gray water tanks and storing.

When I finally put Little Missy to bed for the winter, should I make sure the black and gray tanks are completely empty?

well now, that is just too weird, I posted here for ya but its just not here!!
so guess I'll repeat myself but thats a very good question.
I would think Yes, because if theres anything in the tanks and they freeze it
would crack or could crack. Think that holds true for the fresh water and hot
water tanks as well. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will have the process
all listed out.

I don't know the winter temps in WA but around here, everything has to be winterized. We drain all tanks including the fresh water and the water heater and run the pink stuff through the pipes and leave a little in the grey and black tanks.

Absolutely, and ditto to everything that Tina said. I will take my Rockwood to the dealer for winterizing,... and to also have a vent cover put on the bathroom vent and a regulator with a gauge put on my gas tanks. I don't want the frige to run out of gas when I'm somewhere that i can't get a tank filled. I rap on the tanks and use the old "echo" system,... (if it echos it's empty) and I just don't have the trust in that system any more!

Not a problem. Any info is good!
I lucked out and have a gauge on my LPG tank so I know the level. They use to sell those tapes you put on verticaly to the side of the tank and because the gas is cold the tape turns color to indicate the level. Not sure if they were any good as I don't recall seeing them anymore.

You also need to put about a cup of the RV antifreeze down each drain so the goose neck does not freeze from having water in it. Also a good idea to leave a bit of antifreeze in the toilet to keep the seal from drying out.

I've only done it once (last year) and luckily, no damage!

When you run the pink stuff through the pipes, and then run the spigots until pink comes out, is that good enough for the goose neck, or should more be poured in from the drain side of things (shower & kitchen sink, in my case)??

Also, if you have an outside shower, don't forget those. And, although it's not clear, aren't you supposed to do something to the city water inlet - like pull some little piece out (from the outside) and...well, I just don't remember exactly. Better find out though, eh?

Today I took a drive to locate the place where my neighbor said he buys propane for his RV. I wanted to check where it was and exactly how to get into the place. Piece of cake!
Almost kitty corner from that business is an RV repair place that my neighbor says is where he takes his RV to get it winterized. So that's what I'll do for mine. I was just curious if I'd have to make sure I emptied the gray and black tanks as well to store it. I'm sure that the repair place doesn't take care of that part.
