Re-stringing Day/Night window shades

I am sure there is some place on the web or this site with the directions on how to do this but I can't find it! My rear shade came 'untied' during raising one morning. The string is still there - looks like it just came untied at the original knot. Sure would appreciate being directed toward a place that would tell me how make this simple, I am sure, repair.

Thanks!

ReAnn

If your little plastic tie-down things are broken, pick up some new ones. All you
need to do is tighten the tension on the strings. Too much and you need to call
in a crane to move them. Too loose, and they fall down.

When mine needed replacing I ordered cordless pleated shades custom made to size - LOVE THEM - NO CORDS!!!!! And, they weren't any more expensive that the RV shades.

Hmmmm ... now that you mention it .... mine are looking a bit peaked. Maybe I'll replace them as part of my overall redecorating binge. It's being spurred by the fabric on my couch -- all of a sudden -- starting to fray. I plan to get it reupholstered over the winter. And while I'm doing that, I'm eyeing the valances (etc. etc. etc.). A friend has offered to help me install a new floor in the rig as well.

Money, money, money. Maybe I could do one of those slipcovers that Karen posted about.

UH, not sure. You copy and paste the URL and then insert what words you want it to show instead of the URL?

YES! But you add the " = " and then the text AFTER the first close bracket ]

Where Fox News is (after the http://foxnews.com), I could have typed anything I want - Michelle instead of Fox News.

YOU DID IT!

I take it you're not at all familiar with HTML code? You open, or start, the code by bracket [ whatever ] and then end it with bracket [ / whatever ] (adding the slash)...so for instance, when quoting like I did above for you...I had to add spaces so it wouldn't be read as real code. For real, get rid of any leading or trailing spaces.

[ quote = "whomever" ] [ / quote ]

Okay, miss smarty pants, now I don't know if I even want to ask you how you brought that whole thread over here,

I understood the first part, but not the last , but that's okay because it would probably confuse me too much..
   Just had to get up and go to Ronnie's computer, he wanted to know what it meant when somebody put a colon and a bracket, I had to look, it was :) first I told him it's not a bracket, and the whole thing is a smiley face, so I'm not so bad I guess!

If you put : lol : (without the spaces) you get

It all shows up in the white box you type in before you hit 'submit'...
