I noticed the other day that the bathroom sink was sluggish drains but slowly (and since the drain was open knew that it wasn't full)
so looked and it looks like hair is clogging it somewhat...which is weird as I don't wash my hair in the sink nor stand over it overly much
to brush my hair...then got to thinking I had washed the brush quite possibly just dumped the water into the sink regardless there is hair
catching on the what ever...any ideas of what to do to get rid of it? I can't grab it with anything...used baking soda and vinegar to clean the
sink it didn't take care of it..was hoping
So hit me with the cleaning ideas...

I use this to clean hair out of my tub drain. Just push it in till the handle hits the sink edge and pull back up. Gets all the gross hair and yuck out. It's a deal of a price.

X3 That's what I use too. Works great.

used a similiar tool at sons house when I lived there. They work great!

X4. I swear, Sheila, your hair falls in the sink if you are in the bathroom!

Ditto on that tool. And you will be shocked at what is in your shower drain if you pry off the cover! Last time I did it, I found a black, greasy gob of stuff that contains hair and who knows what else. Yuck!!

If you look at the shower drain carefully, you will see that one side of it has a small spot where you can get under it with a flathead screwdriver. Pull it out, and then you will see all sorts of gunk and hair attached to it on the underside. Use scissors to cut it off and dispose of it on paper towels that you put in the trash. (Best not to flush it in the toilet.)

I bought one of those tools but haven't used it yet because I need to pry the shower drain cover off. I looked at the cover but wasn't sure how to take it off. I tried the baking soda and vinegar and it helped a little.

hmmm this is the bathroom sink I'd hate to think of what the shower looks like!!!

Most all WalMarts carry those Sheila. I found them in the cleaners area.

It's hard to see, but the shower drain cover probably has a tiny spot on one side where you can get a small screwdriver in. It might be on the opposite side so it hard to see. Could also use a knife, but a screwdriver is less likely to cut you!! Alternative is to stick something in one of the holes and pull it off. All of this should take only a gently prying.

Just stick it in and pry up. When you are done cleaning, just push it back in place.
