Buying new tires for the Honda today. I had a conversation with the service mgr about date codes and had her check the dates on the tires they had in stock. She quoted me a 2013 date, so I agreed. Service took 5 hours, so when done I hurried to let Thistle out and didn't look at the tires until I got there. 2012! So I'm back at the Honda dealer and they are making it right. I got both free breakfast earlier and now free lunch.

So the moral is check before and after they put the tires on. And there is no such thing as free lunch, lol.

Good advice. Sorry you had to go back, but good they took care of it. At least you didn't starve.

I was such a PITA to the Michelin dealer about getting me new current tires that he made a point of showing me the codes when they installed them.
