It depends on how you're using it. When I had verizon, if I plugged it into my computer it charged it while I was using it and didn't go down. If you're using it strictly wifi, it will go down faster. Never timed it - never had a problem.

All depends on how you use it when it is not plugged in. I keep mine plugged in when I am hook up to electric. I more carefully turn it on and off when boondocking and recharge it with the generator as I recharge everything else or use my small inverted to recharge it off the rig batteries....

When leaving home or a campground for another leg of a journey I try to have it fully charged. I can then turn it on at a rest stop and check e-mail and or check out ALLSTAYS regarding possible places to spend the night, without turning the generator on. I have not really timed it but for my needs it has been sufficient. You can also recharge the MIFI off the vehicle's battery as you roll down the road, as you might your phone....

I charge lots with a 12 volt charger while on the road - so everything is completely charged (hopefully) when I stop for the night.

I can recharge mine with my 12V or my 110 V systems, but if I just unplug it, it will last 2-3 hours.

Me & Verizon...

Well here is my story...went to Verizon ...cause I lost my air card stick...man told me
that they do not make air card sticks any more...so talked me into MiFi Verizon Jet Pack...worked soso for me..never would hold a charge for two days...got on line to live chat help at the V web site..they told me battery should last 8to 10 hrs..and hr is all I could ever get .. and they also told me that V still make the air card sticks...man out and out lied to me...grrrrrr
so went this morning back to the V store and said I was not happy with product and told him what was going on with it..(but did not say anything about air card at that time) he never argued with me about it and gave me a brand new unit...so I was ok with that...and decided not to say anything yet about the air card...so far so good it is working...this morning I did find my air card stick...so have that as a back up if I don't want this unit....but after all this..I do like the MiFi..it is faster and $10 cheaper than the air card..so I am hoping this will work out ok...
have a great day and stay safe... ;)

Merged your posts into the same thread.

Do not expect any of them to last 2 days without being charged ... especially if you're leaving them on or using them much. The card plugged INTO the computer would (in most cases) be charged by the computer as it was being used.

Gotcha - it was a lemon :) - normally, as with cell phones, etc, you need to fully charge these things before using them the first time - sometimes that's as much as 12 hours. Each thing is different. I was able to use my new cell phone immediately, but then had to leave it plugged in way past when it said it had a full charge. Not sure why, but that's what it said, so I did it lol

I've had the air card since 2008 spring of ...really enjoy it but thinking about getting the mifi partly so that when I have family in they can use it as well and partly because the air card takes up a usb port actually two of them and one of mine isn't working so when I want to use the printer it's a problem mouse in one one not working and air card covering one besides the one it's in....also it seems that I'm slower not sure if it's the card or if its the computer (it's old 2007) or a combo of both...but it seems like the Verison store close by that is actually a Verison store is so busy that you can wait an hour and not get waited on so will either wait till I get to SLC or even down to AZ to look into it

About -6 yrs. ago we got our Verizon air card, when Ernie got me a little notebook, we needed a way for both of us to be online, so he did the research and purchased a Cradlepoint USB router for the air card....it is secure with our own password and works great for us both when CG wifi isn't available..... ;)
