For those that don't know me although been full timing for years and boondocking lots I'm learning to do the stuff
that was the husbands to do...
where I'm at at my dd's I am not hooked up to anything but electricity, the faucet leaks when on so I can't just run a hose and leave it
on so fill the tank and use the pump...
the problem is that I've only been able to get it 2/3 full is there a secret to filling it full....I have several planters that require watering every other day so go through water fast...I'm level so that not the problem just wonder what the secret is to a full tank

Sheila, how fast are you running the water into the tank? If too fast, it'll start overflowing at about the point you're talking about in lots of cases. Slow the flow down and you'll be able to add more water.

That's my guess, anyway.

I agree. Slow the flow to let the air escape and more water can be added.

usually try a trickle but it's hard when the faucet it a long way away and the grandson says its slow ...this time it was faster
than I thought I had it but it filled it fuller than last time good figure....oh well have an almost full tank
use a lot with the plants getting several gals a week good thing they won't be going with me or at least most of them won't

Glad you posted this because I'm trying to fill my tank and it doesn't seem to move from empty.

Is there a vent you can open? As the tank fills it'll "burp" the water out. Or maybe just not enough water in it yet to register.

Sorry Sheila, didn't see your post until this morning, but yeah, slow down the flow for filling to allow the air in the tank to escape.

Gotta get manual out, asked the guy at the rv place, all he told me that I didn't need to fill that tank, guess he never heard of boondocking or this trailer is just not set for that.
