Personally, would like the pic a tad bigger. But love seeing the smiling face.

When you resize, you put numbers in. What approx numbers is a good size??? You put in one number and it automatically apportion the other. For example the avatar can not be bigger than 90 x 90. A thumbnail size. That is also a good size for our signature pics. The ones I posted recently, comments said too small. Trying to figure out what is a good size????

600 pixels on the longest side would be what I go with just because that's what we go with in the scrapping world. I certainly wouldn't go any smaller than 40 pixels.

That's a perfect forum size. I'd stick with that or possibly make the larger side 500. But make it large enough for our aging eyes :-)

And that should have said no smaller than 400 pixels.

I tried resizing a picture and wonder if this will work. This was a blimp that flew over our site about a week ago.

I did it once, with the resizing, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong now. I've deleted a half dozen pictures and now I'm tired on taking notes. I'll try again when I see Lori in a couple weeks.

Irmi, I resize pics before I put them on Photobucket. I don't use it for that - only for showing the pics.

Beth, that makes a lot more sense than what I'm doing. I'll get this figured out, one way or the other. Thanks for your help.

I use VSO Image resizer to re-size pictures before I load them onto PB. I love this program, easy to use, many options for size and an option to keep the original. And it's free. Then I send the resized pictures to a separate folder named PB so they are easy to find to load onto PB.
