Absolutely right Mitch...and turn off the breaker before you un-plug to leave, too. Also, ( and Beth caught me on this one!!

I know better, really I do!!), make sure you're not touching the electrical pedestal with one hand while you un-plug or turn a breaker with the other. Makes a really nice clear path for electrocution if there's a bare wire touching any where.
