LP Detector Expiration Date

Did you know that you LP detector in your coach has an expiration date of generally 5 yrs?
I had no idea and learned that today when I called my RV repairman because mine went off several times last week, (with the gas both turned on AND off).
This is a very important piece of safety equipment in our RVs and should be kept up on.
