ACK!!!! Black tanks make me feel ---------'sad'--------(like that new TV commercial about Fiber)!! The thought of having poop anywhere underneath me in my trailer is why I still use a carryable porta potty in my bathroom, which I can carry to either a bathroom toilet or a free-standing porta potty to dump very easily. Then I can rinse the whole thing out and begin over. The tank is the size of a briefcase, or a large shower caddy, so nobody knows what I am carrying through the campground! I suppose if I were to stay in one place for several months and had a sewer connection included in the site, I would let the black tank fill up and then dump it regularly. BUT----the first time I tried dumping after a camping trip that had just a dump station on the way out, my connection came undone, poop and all flowed freely all over me and the ground, and I promptly threw up on top of it all! It was a most inglorious and totally embarrassing camping experience! I never wish to experience that milestone again! If a grey tank connection breaks away, no prob! Black tanks are not me! I have dealt with pee buckets in tents and my leanto for years, and find them, and now porta potties, vastly easier to deal with than an inboard sewer. Sewage in quantities in living quarters, or below living quarters, are oxymoronic to me.
