Dump valve repair--good article here

Came across this well written article about replacing the dump valves.
It might not be a pleasant task but at least it looks very easy.

Just had both my dump valves replaced. The guy that did it had to come back and fix the black one cause it was leaking. Took him over two hours (and a lot of swearing) to get it right. The clearances on my Class C are really tight and the valves are located in a compartment not hanging in the open like the pictures in the article. The open setups on the 5th wheels are easier. I would NEVER try this "simple" job myself after watching him struggle.

Good article....I've done it, but my valves are fairly easy to get to. It's not quite as easy as the article says, the seal has to be just right before you tighten the nuts, and if you get them to tight, the seal smashes and you're right back to where you started. Plus it helps if you have 3 hands, one to hold the seal in place and two to work the wrenchs!

Well, this might be a great article, but, if so, I will never know! Each time I tried reading it, my screen blacked out! Am I supposed to belong to something or pay to belong or sign up for something, or what???

Soos, when my screen started blackening out it was because a pop up window was opening. Just close the pop up and you will be ok.

don't think so Soos, I'm not a member of the site or signed up to anything, just found
the link and clicked on it and it opened. I do have a popup blocker on my puter but didn't
see any evidence of a popup. Sorry you couldn't read it.
