Sarah's Refrigerator

Sarah is REALLY out of level. This morning she noticed that her temp went from 40 degrees to 52. All fridge lights are working as normal.

IF this is a result of her being so in level, can it be rectified by getting her some more blocks for the next couple of days? Or might the damage. Be permanent?

The electricity going to the fridge isn't dependent on being level, so lights aren't affected. But the coolant sure is. I'd be looking for something FAST to get her rig leveled before she does permanent damage. Until she can get level, I'd shut the fridge down. Fridges can take a little bit of unlevel-ness, but I sure wouldn't be running mine if there was that much of a jump in temps.

Is there any way she can park diagonally in her site to help level her rig? We've done that on occasion, and it helps. If she can't get level that way and there's a lumber yard/Home Depot around, get some 6X6 boards and have them cut them diagonally so that you've got a wedge -- probably need to be about 3' long. She can put the wedge on top of her Lynx levelers and hopefully that'll give her some more height.

It's got to be uncomfortable in the rig if she's that out of level. I'd do as Laura said or see if there's another site available.

Sarah had another issue yesterday and when I went inside her rig, it was very uncomfortable.

Ys, this is so unlevel/uncomfortable it wouldn't pass anyones test but I seem to be stuck for now. No other sites anywhere until the 4th and I have that reserved.
Caught ride into town with Mitch earlier. No luck finding to use for helping the level situation but did get some ice and coolers. Hope I have saved about half of what food I had. Have tossed all from freezer and anything of serious question from fridge. Thanks for advise ladies. It is turned off until I can move.
Let me know if you come up with any other suggestions. Ideas welcome as it has been big learning trip for me so far.

See if the campground has flat wood pieces that u could put under the tires that r at the low end. Is there a store u could go to that has the squares that u can buy for leveling or wood that they could cut. Any straightening is better than none even if its not perfect. Sorry for all this. U were doing so well. Hope this doesn't deter u from more camping. Glad u have friends around to help and I'm sure Mitch has some kind of brew available to ease the nerves carold

Yes, I would really be requesting help - there's no excuse for them having such an unlevel site.

Except for a very few sites, think this campground might have been designed more for tent or small pop up campers.
have fingers crossed that I might get to move late this afternoon instead of having to wait until tomorrow afternoon. Fortunately weather has been such that I could sit at picnic table most of time as it is so out of level, sitting inside Magic is uncomfortable. This site does have a small wooden deck with table; it is level.

I went to Home Depot and bought an 8' long 12" X 2" board. They cut it into four 2" pieces at no charge. Cost was $13.

One of these fits sideways under my dual wheels and one easy fits under my front tire if I need to raise one side. It works well enough to raise one side just enough. I also think it is easier on the tires than the lego blocks and a lot cheaper. The regular wood is a lot lighter than the treated stuff, and considering they will only last about a year before they crack and disintegrate, I figure it is a good deal.

I started with wood, switched. Like the blocks much better. Kept the wood "just in case". It rotted using it one season in very wet weather. Tossed it after that. Also have had it splinter. So there are both sides of the coin. I find the orange plastic preferable. Good to have choices and be able to disagree - and do what works for each of us.

In Sarah's case, she'd need to be on several of whichever she carried - from the sounds of it.

This unlevel site sounds like a nightmare for someone with balance problems! Refrigerator reflects what might be going on in your brain and inner ears, Sarah! Those little balance hairs must be experiencing an episode like riding on a violently rough sea when you go into your rig! Maybe you can tell the campground about that problem you have, and then they might ask someone with a more level site to trade with you?? Thank heavens you are not alone there and have some friends to commiserate with!
