regarding pictures

Technical question. I have notice on this forum and on several blogs that I read.....individual's pictures that carry their signature, e-mail, blog addy or CW info in the bottom right hand corner. Is this added within the photo editing process or at posting? I use a Mac and iPhoto if that helps direct the responses any. Thanks.

I don't get the question...

Not like yours, right, where your addresses are under your photo?

You mean "embedded" within the picture? If that's what you mean, it's a pre-publish thing.
If you want something like that, you might know someone who can help you...

Wording on your photo? It's done with photoshop or any other photo editing type tools.
...psst, I prefer it your way. 8-)

I think the object is to protect your photos from being copied without credit. Embedding the info means that if someone copies the photo the copyright info travels with it....

That's what people like to think. Someone who really wants pictures can remove it. But it's better than some other methods. And unless it's over the middle of the picture, they can crop it out - and you wouldn't want to ruin the picture to protect it. The best thing to do is to put the smallest picture you can on the internet - with the lowest pixels - so that if someone wants to "steal" it - it won't have clarity when enlarged.

Beth, your reasoning makes sense. Since I'm not a famous photographer I guess I really shouldn't worry about it. Just keep having fun. Thanks.

That's my philosophy. And when my friends want to use my pics, I'm flattered.
