Hair Dye on my new shower floor!

Hair Dye on my new shower floor!

Postby MrsHomeSweetRoam » Sun Nov 25, 2012 11:05 pm

Just discovered that when my g'baby's mother stayed over and showered...she had hair dye in her hair... we are not quite level and thus the water pools...just discovered colored water and a distinct line where the water edge was. I do not have any cleaner here with bleaching qualities... any pro-rv-shower-tips before I attempt to clean it...

Think I would try Bon ami or bar keepers friend. Cleans tea stains out of my coffee mugs!

try a shampoo called T-Sal, you find it over by the dandruff shampoos, its salasilic acid and its what I use to get dye out that went on wrong, including my bathroom sink. Just put some on a rag full strength and scrub, see if that will work.

I have a wet bath in my truck camper and have always "forgotten" to buy a mat of some kind for the shower. Needless to say, I bring in all sorts of stuff from outside. Including plant material that one can use as a dye. I have always had good luck with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pads. They really get the shower floor clean. Linda

I keep Bar Keepers Friend in my rig - have used it for years for anything and everything. I also have some Mr. Clean erasers. But when you see something like that, I highly recommend cleaning asap - with whatever you have on hand.

Thanks everyone. I was able to scrub it out...and brought home some soft scrub with bleach to have on hand for future mishaps.
