This is Molly. She is Mel's (my friend and business partner). She is a Red Heeler. His niece acquired her from a family who didn't want her anymore..As Mel said, 'she snaked him' as in talked him into taking her. She will stay at the store with him everyday..She sleeps in a cage at night. Last night she cried at first but then settled down. Just watching Lucy and Rudy with her is entertaining. Lucy is not happy but just ignores her, actually pouting, which she is very good at anyway.

Cute.....she doesn't look like she will be sitting still long though! :) Those eyes are just looking for "what's next?" I can hear the tail thumping from here.....

Dear Molly,

My goodness, you are bee-YOU-tea-full.
Better keep those baby blues away from my Herschel...

Love,
Abby

Molly really a pretty girl. We have quite a few blue heelers around here, but I've never actually seen a red one.

What a face. I can see how easily it would have been to be talked into that sweetie!

Thanks for the nice words about Molly...She certainly has livened things up around here. Lucy is very jealous and Rudy has a new playmate. Heelers are good cattle dogs, need lots of exercise. Mel has been wanting some goats and chickens. There is a couple of acres that belong to my son and adjoin me so a small farm might be in the making. Mel is a great gardener. I'm just not a great can and preserve person but the neighbors love it. I do want to learn to make soap and with the goats I can make the soap from goat's milk.
Rudy is teaching her to use the doggy door. He even taught his mother. She was scared of it and he would try to push her through. It was a sight to watch.
