Happy Halloween From Herschel's pack

Postby BirdbyBird » Sat Oct 29, 2011 7:51 pm

Stuart won the argument with Remi to be the green dragon.....

Image

Remi looked quite festive as a red Lobster. And as long as the Lobster head didn't fall over his eyes he was willing to walk in it. :) Here he is getting a snuggle from one of his friends at the nursing home.

Image

Me, I got to be the yellow bumble bee. It may not be much of a costume but I like that there is nothing on my head! :) ...and little to interfere with good old fashion dog petting.

Image

Our friends were all very happy to see us and let us know that we had been missed the last few weeks. They all seemed to recognize us even with our costumes.....

So 'till next year and we get the costumes out again....or the Lady finds additional ones to chose from.....Have a Happy Halloween from the Bumble Bee, the Lobster and the Dragon.....

I see you all have the "look." But you really do look cute in your costumes. And you made your friends happy by wearing them on your visit. Don't worry, Halloween only comes once a year. We won't think about those other occasions coming up.

Amazing what those cute little fur babies will do to please their people!
Have you told them more holidays are on the near horizon? I can already picture Remi as an elf.

Awwwww....so cute! Thank goodness, I knew Remi wasn't a dragon type person....No one would believe it anyway! Herschel, you really need to tell the GHL that Remi needs a teddy bear costume!

Chewy said she was going to be a Rottweiler and she didn't need a costume for that!!

Nope Chewy won't need a costume! She is a Rottweiler at heart.

Tina, your good doggies look like they know the costumes make their friends happy and that they look sooo cute. Thanks for the pictures.

Peaches just ran and hid. Saying no, no, you aren't doing that to me! Then she came back to sneak another look and said, well, maybe, but only if my Mom looks as silly (or stupid) as me. So where, she wants to know, is your Mom's pic in her get up?

Peaches, the costumes aren't much fun to wear in and of themselves but......hoomans seems to make a bigger fuss when we show up in them. Our studies have demonstrated an increase in "oh's" and "ah's" and ear scratches and back rubs! 8-) :)

And since traveling around LIW with you this summer, I know that you appreciate how to "work" the passing hoomans so that they can get their appropriate "Dog Time." Hoomans so need us.......

And did you and the dragon and lobster get to go trick-or-treating in your costumes tonight, Herschel? Surely the effort was worth some doggie treats.

Herschel

Herschel,
Mom's been letting me off leash here on at least one walk everyday. And the lake is lots of fun to get wet in. I just like to get wet, but maybe if I watched you swim, I'd decide it would be fun. Mom says you can all come have fun with us (well me) if you can get away. And there are good trails, too. Halloween will be over and no costumes necessary. But you are so right, if it meant the right attention, I supposed I'd wear it. But you know, I'm just finally letting more and more hoomans near me.

Right now I have my eye on our bed - I think I'm going to convince Mom it's time for her to get her book and us to go snuggle.

Would really love to see you - all of you. If you get the gumption to head this way :)

Love,
Peaches
