Someone's been sleeping in my bed...

So was thinking "someone" was getting on my pillow. There is a pillow on the other side where Encino has slept since she was a kitten. She never has gotten onto my pillow that I knew of, but I did start to notice kitty hair on my pillow at night. It's a goose down so it puffs up each time I get up, so it's hard to tell if someone's been on it. But then I caught the culprit...

Little Rat Cat Habibi!!!

And check out that snotty look on her face  ...like, "What, you weren't using it any more, and I'm not on Encino's pillow...so what's wrong???"

I'm thinking that isn't "your" pillow anymore.

Awwww ... she just wants to be close to you. ;) Just be glad she doesn't try to share it with you!

She did not say they were hairless sheets! :o :) Cats sleep where they feel a need. Sometimes they will share if you are lucky....

He sure has the look of "I'm staying right here, so don't mess with me!".

My cat doesn't sleep anywhere near my pillow but I still end up picking fine cat hairs out of my eyes in the morning!

Speaking of cats---went into a 5th wheel yesterday whose owners have 2 cats. On the bottom of the wall next to the door, he made a hole, put in a cat door, attached at plastic tube for the cats to walk on to their litter box that was in the basement just behind the wall. Then he just opens the basement door and cleans the litter box. I thought that was pretty clever, but what do I know  carold

Carol, your friends idea, sounds somewhat like what Liz has arranged for Bandit. He has his own privacy. :)

Li, that is a great pix of your used to be yours pillow :) and the new owner, He looks like you disturbed him and he's not that happy with you right now :P

Mitch, had a great question too, how do you get by with white linens? :o

CArol :)

How do I do white linens you ask? I just wash them a lot! :? Luckily, all three cats hop off the bed when they are going to yack something up! Normally, the only "cat space" on the bed is the pillow where Encino resides and rules her queen-dom!

Also, the three cats get brushed every night. About 9 p.m., Encino waddles down the stairs, stands at the chair I'm sitting in and whines, then I finally get up. (any guesses who runs the house???) Habibi (the pillow thief) then comes running from wherever she is and cuts in line. She has to go first. If I don't do her first, she will set about biting whoever is getting brushed. She's very short haired, so it's easy to do her. Then next is Encino who gets both a wire brush and a soft brush (she's got a really fine undercoat that sheds all year). Finally, here comes Torrie who generally only wants to brush her own face. I hold the brush up face high, and she runs her face back and forth across the brush...cheeks first, then her chin, and finally her ears. It's a process, but it keeps the fur balls to a minimum and reduces fur in the air. But three cats means there's gonna be fur, so I invest heavily on sticky rollers...at home, at work, in the car, and in the RV. I buy them by the dozen...but doesn't every pet owner??? ;) ;)

Speaking of sticky rollers (and kitty litter), I'm off to Costco--the high point of my weekend!! :D  ...have a great summer day everyone!

One of our outdoor cats, Snickers, is that color. The waitresses at a local restaurant talked my DH into taking her because they were afraid the owner was going to have animal control pick her up. If he had let me have her fixed then we wouldn't have half the cats we have now. I think she has adopted another family because we won't see her for weeks and then she shows up again. They must be on vacation because she has been here all week. She has a collar with our phone number on it but no one has ever called to ask about her.

I should brush the house cats more. I have a brush with the rubber "fingers" that they like the best but I don't think it takes out much hair. They eat Iams for Weight Control and Hair Balls and it seems to help. The one that hacks up fur balls the most is the fuzzy Main Coon and she likes to be brushed the least. Why is it that if there is one piece of carpet in a house, that is where they throw up. If I try to carry one to the tile floor they think they are being punished.

I know what you mean about the sticky rollers, I have them everywhere. Can't leave the house without being rolled. I have one of the Pledge roller things for pet hair and it works good. They are about $5 and the directions say to throw them away when they are full. I just take a thin comb or wire and dig the hair out and keep using it. They must be crazy if they think I am going to throw $5 away every day.

When my mom had my two old girls while I was in Kuwait, she'd grab Torrie and put her in the shower to hork up whatever was coming up. After about 3 months, Torrie started jumping off Mom's bed and going into the shower all by herself. ;) And "they" say cats can't be taught anything...it's really that cats will only remember what benefits them. Torrie always got a lot of good praise for taking her self into the shower, so it was worth it to her too!
