yep we have three cats at home, all female. i'll have to post pics of them soon :) each has different personalities, and there's an obvious pecking order.

chocolate is the black fluffy cat, 13 years old. she is THE cat. lazy too. every evening she yells at us to feed her yummy wet cat food (our cats really only eat kibble). dumb cat. when she starts yelling my brother will pick her up and lock her in the master bedroom until one of us lets her out to feed her.

tiger is a gorgeous short fur calico. she's my napping buddy :D all i have to say is "tiger i'm taking a nap!" and she'll usually trot to my room and beat me to my bed. she likes to sleep on my legs, but when she wants to be petted and notices that i'm awake, she'll come up to the head of the bed and demand attention  emotionally needy little critter. she's the reason we feed the cats wet cat food every evening. she has an overactive thyroid which has caused her to lose weight. every evening daddy crushes one of her pills and puts it in wet cat food, milk, or cheese-whiz. which means of course we have to shut her sister up and give her food FIRST   so yeah tiger's my buddy <3 she''ll be 13 in august.

now marley  she's a character. about three years old; got her from a relative of a coworker of daddy's. gray thing. the smartest cat--and the most paranoid. she dislikes being touched, looked at, or talked to. i think it'd be fun to surround her and just STARE at her! marley likes to attack feet--but only those belongin to her favorite people. daddy's her favorite person. she also likes to be in the master bathroom whenever somebody's occupying it. dumb cat likes to pee in steven's room. we've already treated her with antibiotics, and she's still doing it. we're gonna have to put her down soon. why not give her away to a family who would deal with the pee problem? she's sooo very paranoid, and was so traumatized when we brought her home, it took a month or more for her to even come out of my room. we dont want to cause her that stress again.

so those are my fuzzbutts <3 love em to death

Sounds like quite a group of kitties. I have 3 dogs that all have different personalities. They are a source of enjoyment and amusement, most of the time. Would love to see pics of your trio. Linda

sounds like a house full of personalities. Good Luck with the youngest Fuzz Butt. Those pee issues are very difficult to deal with. I have used confining to very large cage structure with climbing levels in years past. Cat was not the happiest but he was alive and part of the household.

Funny...we (ferret people) call ferrets "fuzzbutts" all the time! Never seen a non-ferret person use that term for a cat. I thought it was just a ferret thing!
I sure miss those little guys!

Have you seen the new show "My Cat From Hell"? The guy is very good at working with problem kitties! He says most cats who are fearful, do much better if they have high perches to climb up to in order to feel safer and more in control. He's changed a lot of really horrible cats into much happier, more well-behaved cats (and much happier owners!)

i first heard the term "fuzzbutt" from a comic strip "non sequitur" in which the emo/egocentric girl has a pet horse. when the horse uses reason to deflate her plans for world domination, danae says "shut up, fuzzbutt!"

unfortunately we cant put marley in a cage, or get her a cat tree. space in our double wide trailer is at a premium. she and our other cats have worked out their territories: chocolate's territory is the whole house; living room and kitchen/dining room are largely common areas; marley's domain is my brother's room, master bedroom, and kitchen; tiger's territory is my room; and the laundry room and bathroom are shared by our older cats.

frankly i think marley's bored. she's such a smart cat and we cant provide her a suitable play area. we didnt have that issue with the other girls. she also knows how to stay away from tiger, who hates her. she just choses not to, and instead pretends to charge at tiger just to get her to hiss! but most of the time there's an invisible barrier between the two--no less than 3 feet  but i'll suggest that we close off marley's access to stevens room

ferrets are soooo cute! they're like slinkys--with fur! oh the pet that i realllly want is a honey bear or honey glider :D

Would Marley be happier as an outdoor kitty? Some cats just don't like being confined to a small area, especially shared with other cats.

she's declawed, and daddy is almost paranoid about bringing fleas into the house. he doesnt like it if i even pet someone else's outdoor cat, even tho i told him fleas dont know i exist (it's true. once during a flea infestation mommy and i didnt get bit but steven and daddy did). i pet outdoor cats anyway, always have :P
