Sitting Here Crying

Well Sassy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I had the vet come to my RV so I wouldn't have to drag her to the vet's office. I've had her for twelve years and she's traveled with me everywhere I went. She was a good RVer. She was really hurting and could barely get up into the Rv anymore and couldn't get on the bed anymore at all. I've known this was coming for several months as I could see her going downhill but it doesn't matter how much you anticipate it still hurts like hell. I know my life will be easier with only two but I will miss her "sassy" personality so much. Seems like everywhere I look in the RV I see three of everything. I drove straight thru for almost five hours today to get her to her own vet and she kept whimpering all day so I knew the time had come for sure. At least she's not hurting anymore. I'm having her cremated and someday her ashes will join mine and the rest of my crew.

Karen I am so sorry for your loss and I know no ones words can really help at times like this. As Vickie said, just know you are not crying alone; we love you and share your grief.

God bless you, Karen.
What you did for Sassy was the absolutely most selfless act you could have done for her. What an incredible gift you've given her.
Jed and I will say a prayer for you tonight, and I'm sure Sassy will be right next to you in spirit.

Bye sweet Sassy, your mama will miss your forever. The RV will echo with the sound of your phantom feet and your memories will dance through her heart and mind.... and even through the tears, her world will be a little brighter because she has known you and loves you still.

I'm so sorry about Sassy! She was ready to go and you did the right thing. It never gets easier tho, no matter how many times you've had to go thru it. Each animal is unique and puts their own special pawprint on our hearts!

Karen
I am so sorry about your loss but so happy that you and Sassy had each other for so long and with so many happy memories to help you carry on. They leave such a hole in your heart with their passing but the memories will always be there.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((( Karen ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Big, big hugs. I'm crying with you. Nothing I can say that you don't already know. You did what it was time to do - you loved Sassy as she loved you - unconditionally.
