The dogs and I attended our annual kennel club member's picnic. The attendance was rather sparse BUT one couple brought their puppies so that we could all help socialize them. It is a rough job but someone had to help. The pups are from two different litters. Half of them are 5 weeks and half are 8 weeks :D Herschel wants you to know that he supervised all of the puppy handling and volunteered himself for petting if anyone should get bored without puppies in their hands. ;)

You might recognize some of the kids from the 4-H show...their family belongs to the kennel club also. They are all experienced puppy tamers....except theirs start out a lot larger (Labs)

Hey, whats all the fuss. We're cute. We're cute, too! :D :D

Tired puppies at the end of the picnic....

That is okay guys. You keep holding your meeting. I'll sit here and keep a watch on the babies for you.

Do they call this food guarding behavior or just a puppy nap?.....

What puppies???? All I saw were fluff balls! I'm sure Herschel, Remi and Izzy let them in on a few secrets to "hooman" behavior too.

They are Pomeranian pups..... Jim and Judy who raise them also ride bikes....they train their adult Poms to wear small sunglasses (held on with pip cleaners  ) and have taught them to ride on their Harleys and those of their friends. They and their friends ride in some of the local festivals with the dogs dressed up as "Dogs on Hogs." He has a small harness system that attachs the dogs to either the bike or their belt...belt I think....Can't really remember but it sounds safer :)

Peaches just told me "Yes Mom they are cute, but NO Mom I do NOT want a brother or sister."

Funny thing there - if it wasn't for Tips needing a brother or sister, I probably wouldn't have Peaches. But she really prefers having me to herself. Some day that might have to change, but she's sitting here watching me drool on the screen at those cute puppies, and keeps pawing me to get my attn off them. ... Hahaha - how do they know?

What adorable puppies.....awwwwwwwwww I want one. :( DH says Nooooooooooooooooooooo more pets. Just isn't the same without one, but reality sinks in and I know we simply don't have the schedules to ensure they get the attention they should have. Maybe someday I'll get a warm fuzzy furbaby once again.
