Mocha...

I have decided with a heavy heart, that it is in Mocha's best interest to return her to the lady who rescued her. Over the past several weeks, I have noticed that she is just not adjusting to living here and is not happy. She is always on edge and ready to lash out when anyone (thing) approaches her. She spends all day and all night in the chair in my living room except to eat and use the litter box (or to go after someone walking by). She has been fighting more with Zoey and occasionally attacking the ferrets. She can be very sweet and playful at times and is such a beautiful cat, but I think it is best for her to be in a better (ie; pet-free) home where she can relax and be her sweet self without being in constant "defense" mode. I will be helping the lady to find her a good, new home.

Oh, Barbie, so sorry you have to give up Mocha, but like you said, she needs to be in a home that she can relax in. I hope you find her a good place.

That's too bad it didn't work out, but sure sounds like you're doing the best thing for everyone concerned.
You tried!

sorry to hear that, but it sounds like she needs to be in a home where she's the only pet. You are right.

Cats are funny people....and Siamese are even funnier. Sounds like a good decision, altho maybe you need to take her down to visit Karen and Sweet Sophie for an attitude lesson. Or Chewy for an attitude change! Once Siamese are raised as an only child, they pretty much need to continue to be an only child and sounds like maybe that's her problem. So sorry it didn't work out, but I'm sure you can find her a good home.

Making the right decision is often really hard. I think its great that you are able to put her welfare before your own desire to keep her. Not sure how Sophie would feel about ferrets? She does love to chase those pesky squirrels that run all over out here.

You were sure faced with having to make one of those tough decisions - the one that puts yourself last - and, in this case, the pet first. It can be so hard to do, and I'm sure Mocha will find a forever home - hopefully with someone who understands the need to Mocha to be the only pet. Kudos to you!
