According to Wikipedia: The phrase warm the cockles of one's heart may refer to the similarity in shape of the heart valves to the cockle mollusk.
( mollusk is a marine organism)

Doesn't sound very appealing any more, does it. :lol: :lol:

We (here on the forum) had a couple of chuckles about "warming the cockles of my heart" a few months ago...
So, I guess those would have been Cockle Chuckles.

Awwww....sent this to my BF, he has 2 Maltese. Don't know if I would have been brave enough to jump in that cold water! But I like to think that I would!
