My (almost) new kitty

Here are a couple pics of my soon-to-be-mine kitty, Mocha. Something went haywire with my digital camera so these pics are a bit blurry, but I will get better pics later once I get her home (hopefully in a couple of weeks if she isn't pregnant). She is a very, very sweet, gentle, layed back kitty. She just sat in my lap and purred as I petted, scratched and brushed her. I even got her to play, which they said they haven't been able to get her to do yet, so she must feel comfortable with me. Later she layed on her back and wanted her belly rubbed. Her belly is rock hard so it looks like she may in fact be carrying kittens...we'll know for sure in a couple of weeks...

It's hard to believe someone would dump (or at least not look for) a sweet, beautiful cat like her. The white part on the top of her left ear is from frostbite. The pads of her feet look like they were frostbitten too. Otherwise, the vet says she is very healthy. I think she would make a great RV cat!

I am already pushing my luck at my apartment with the 2 ferrets and a cat. I live in a studio apartment so not a lot of room anyways and if I am eventually going to downsize to an RV, don't want to be overloaded with critters in there either. Besides, more kitties equals more expense with food, litter, vet bills, etc. I wasn't looking for another kitty but I love siamese cats and long haired cats so when I saw her, I just fell in love.

She is a twin to a cat we took in when we lived in Alaska. We called her Muffin and she, too, was PG when we got her. She had 3 babies. Two girls, all white, and one boy with her markings/color. Our neighbor adopted the boy and called him Biscuit. The other two white females were scooped up as soon as we put them up for adoption. We then got Muffin fixed. She was so sweet and funny and actually watched TV with us! There were many nights when my son, then age 13, talked in his sleep and called out her name and giggled. Sadly she got out and got run over. Long sad story, but we buried her on our property where we built our first house, and planted a cedar tree over her grave.
If you are fortunate enough to adopt her you'll not regret it!

What a perfectly BEAUTIFUL kitty! And such a perfect name for her!

I think I read somewhere else on here that she is indeed pregnant, so you will be getting her later, when she has her little ones, and after she gets them to adoptable size. Thank heavens she won't have to have that family all alone in the cold somewhere. Who knows, one of her little ones might just capture your heart even more than she has!

The vet is pretty sure she is pregnant but wants to check again in two weeks. At that time he can take X-rays if necessary but he thinks he felt a couple of little lumps in her belly. Either way, I will wait for her (impatiently!). Who knows what her kittens might look like tho, if she has indeed mated with a stray tomcat.

What a beautiful kitty and an appropriate name, too. She looks like chocolate and coffee.

What a gorgeous kitty. So sad that she lost her family somehow. But she apparently is taken with you!
