Okay, just talked with Ernie and he and Spinner just got back from the visit to the Army Vet.....Spinner is a healthy little guy....today he got all his shots, checked for heart worm, got his Georgia lic., and got chipped.....they also got Advantix and heart worm meds.....the Army also takes good care of it's "dependent pets", too.... ;) So he's all set....Spinner's new "Daddy" (Ernie) got him a new doggy bed last week....Ernie says that Spinner loves it and hasn't bother to go back to the couch or our bed since....good job, Ernie!!!!

Now tell me, for a guy who didn't want to get another dog, do you think he's in love with Spinner?!

Its always the ones who protest that they DON'T WANT ANOTHER DOG who fall the hardest. Sounds to me like Spinner has Ernie wrapped around his little paw. High five, spinner from Sassy and Buddy. These humans just never learn about who's really in charge.

Congratulation Spinner on the good report. Your Ernie is taking GOOD care of you....keep up his training, Spinner. :D
I have to respect anyone who thinks really hard about getting a pet.....especially if it is BECAUSE they respect what that responsibility for and and that bond with the animal means. It is not to be taken lightly...but oh, the joy of it all! Even if you occasionally have to share a couch or bed! :)

I agree w/ all.

Our doggies love us no matter what! The least we can do is give them back equally.. or at least TRY!

:D

Kudos to Ernie. My mother would always reject getting a new dog, but my father would bring one home anyway. I would hear her at night, she was a night owl, talking sweetly to the dog when no one was around. There was a reason the dogs always adored her, but she never let on. Glad that Spinner checked out OK. Linda
