The reason for my trip to Nebraska... Only about 100 miles each way, no biggie.

Ty is my new navigator... I think he'll be as good as Peaches as you'll see next.

Asleep on the job.

He's going to be a handful, but I'm up for the challenge... As long as he doesn't bark uncontrollably. They say he barks some... So far I haven't heard a single bark from him.

Congrats Beth. I was wondering how long you would go without a navigator. Is Ty blond or red? Looks almost like the same color as Peaches?
He looks pretty comfy in his new position!

!!!WOOOO!!!

BIG congrats on new navigator, Ty. He might not be a barker after all, might be that he just wanted a new home. I was told my boy Joe was quite the barker before I brought him home, which quite concerned me - Staffordshire Bull Terriers are known NOT to be barkers. Almost made me think twice.

Almost. . . But not quite.

Turns out Big Joe is no more of a barker than any of my previous Staffordshire Bull Terriers have been.

So, Beth - what's the scoop? SO glad you found each other!! How did you cross paths? How old? Etc.! :D

Definitely terrier, probably Jack Russell.. Possibly dachshund.. I'm not sure on the second.

Tina, wash and wear :) and the terrier part might get some weight off me.

Anne, I started looking for rescues within a hundred miles and he was on my short list (of three). All had various issues... Which doesn't stop me. I look for dogs that might have a harder time being adopted. So far that's worked for me.

It'll be interesting how long it takes me to convince him we don't get up and go out too early or the same time every morning... That's a prerequisite with me. Meantime I might be going for early walks for a bit.

Beth, he is a cutie for sure. I think he will adapt to your routine or lack of routine for sure. What kind of issues do you have to overcome. I have no doubt he will be a good camping and hiking partner.
