My precious kitty

I had Zipper put down today. Her quality of life was terrible with the loss of use of her front leg. I have never believed in keeping a pet alive just because it hurts so much to lose them. She and I had nine years together, wonderful years. I rescued her when she was five years old. From a cage in South Carolina.
Sarah went with me both visits to the vet. I was thankful having a good friend to console me.

Lyn, when I had to put down 2 kitties long ago I asked the Vet how he did it. His reply was that it's the hardest part of his job, but the most important. Those words have lived in my heart ever since, and have gotten me through the death of 2 more kitties and Brandy, my first Lab.
You did the right thing by her, Lyn. Hold that thought tightly, and it'll help dull the ache.

((((Lyn)))) I'm so sorry about Zipper. It's so hard to do the right thing sometimes. One vet cried with me during the procedure.

Awww! Lyn, I am so sorry to hear this! It is such a difficult thing to do but so necessary when their quality of life is no longer good. You did the right thing. Did they figure out why she couldn't use her leg? Take care and hug Casey up!

Lyn, I'm so sorry you lost your your beautiful Zipper. Even though we know we're doing the right thing, that doesn't make it easy. Know Zipper would thank you for loving her so much to make such a hard decision. (((((HUGS))))). Take care. She will be watching over you pain free and running free.

Lyn so very sorry for your loss of Zipper. I'm sure it was even harder not being home.
Karen so very sorry you lost your Blossom. Had she been sick?
You girls take care. It sucks to age even for our pets.
I'm out in my RV along with my dog Rags. He will be 16 in May and is having a real rough time - certainly can't use the steps, can barely walk and doesn't know if he has done his business.
