Wow, good find, Beth!!!

Also, I have read that an airbag deploying (like in front seat) can kill an unprotected animal. What is crazy about that is an airbag can deploy on a fairly minor accident in a parking lot.

I do have to rethink how my little one can ride in my vehicle safely.

Thanks for the heads up.

Pretty alarming!

When we were traveling in our Honda CR-V with our dog in a metal crate, it was wedged in behind the driver's seat with luggage and stuff all around it, so no way it could move around since our car was so fully loaded up for our full-time traveling. So while Paisley would have been flung into the side of the crate in a crash, she wouldn't have become airborne and gone through the windshield or something. Plus it just kept me from having to hold her in my lap during our travels...all that dog hair and extra heat was not something I relished. She would just curl up and sleep in her crate, so it was a win-win for all of us.

Thanks for posting this, Beth. Definitely good food for thought.
