Doggysitting Kina

Once again we hear the pitter patter of a dog running through the house, along with her grunts, burps and snores! We're babysitting my niece's 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier till Sunday. When they first left, she was searching the house for her 3 little playmates (kids), but now she has learned that she can jump up in bed with Uncle Ronnie and get lots of loving belly rubs, when she's not laying on her own bed snoring loudly.

This is her as a puppy.

Awwww...she's a cutie! And I'm sure Uncle Ronnie isn't the only one giving belly rubs and treats! I'd be willing to bet Aunt Vicki is putting out, too! :D

Bet it's nice to have that pitter patter of Kina's paws running around - and to have a belly to rub. You're all lucky.

I remember how great she was/is with the kids. I am sure she is adjusting her "job" definition from taking care of the kids to watching Ronnie and being sure he has her belly to rub.....It is am important job. :)

At least it's only in my parish & not the whole state, like you!

OK Vicki, maybe its time to go to your shelter and "rescue" some poor, lonely, unwanted dog and give it a great home. After I sent my Buddy over the Rainbow Bridge I said okay I'm down to just one dog. Makes sense and that's all I'm gonna have. Well, I last a whole two weeks when I stopped in at the shelter to "just look." Took Sophie the next day to meet Baxter and make sure they would get along and he came home with us. NO regrets - he's such a sweet, bossy, loving little guy and he worships Sophie - he's constantly cleaning her face and ears. She just sits there lapping up all that adoration as her God given due.

Awww! How cute! I used to know a dog named Kina. Was a big black fluffy dog about the size of a small bear!

I am betting you will be getting a new set of paws of your own soon!

(by the way, how is Ronnie doing now? Wasn't he pretty sick recently?)

We're sad, Kina went home today, but it sure was cute to watch her reunite with her kiddos.

Barbie, thanks for asking about Ronnie. He's still having to stay in bed most of the time, just getting up once or twice a week. It's going on 5 months now, I'm so ready to go camping, just don't look like it'll be happening any time soon.
