Repost for those not on FB:
Little Weatherby is in the hospital. He's been having severe pain, causing him to scream out, he hurt so much. Took him Thursday to the Vet, found the pain was in his neck, caused by arthritis or a disc. They gave him a shot and sent home meds for pain and non-steroid anti-inflammatory. It didn't help him any over the weekend so I brought him back today. They gave him a morphine shot and started him on steroid IV's for several days. If that doesn't help, they will take him to Vinton to the Delta Equine Center. She said that if the problem would have been in his back area of the spine, they could run the dye through and do the surgery at the Vet office, but because it is at his neck area they would have to do a MRI because of the danger of injecting the dye so close to his brain. Surgery on the disc would also have to be from the front of his throat area, back to the spine. Please keep the little fella in your thoughts and prayers.
