William's New Friend

William has a new friend! Abby moved in this fall with her person. The William is so pleased she is here.

Tonight Abby barked at our door and wanted to know if William could come and play. It's a good thing nobody was in the hall, eh? They do move fast, usually with Abby in the lead.

Eventually we had to make them both lie down -- but they had fun while it lasted!

That is just too cute. How neat that they have each other.
Abby looks like a little mop.

:D :D :D If he doesn't break a hip....it should definitely help to keep him exercised and "young"...... I still think he looks amazing (and so handsome) for his age.

Oh, Louise, how sweet :D The William is such a gentle dog, so he'll do fine with the new little neighbor!

They really do have fun together. Abby was raised with a Rottweiler, so she's not a bit afraid of large dogs. Wm is so happy about that! I don't think he'll get hurt running with her -- he really is in astonishingly good shape for a 15-year-old (hybrid vigor?) -- but if he does, it's a great way to go.

I couldn't get a photo of them both doing the "play bow," but it's a wonderful thing to see! I keep trying, so maybe I can show you guys one day.

When I was growing up, we had a neighbor who had a St Bernard (Tilly) and a toy poodle (Bucky) who were inseparable! Then Bucky got hit by a car one day, and Tilly was never the same. She was so depressed and just never got over it. Size doesn't matter to dogs!
