Well, Mr. Spinner proved today that not only are cats fair game, but chickens are, too..  ...Thank goodness no Hen lost her life, but one is minus a few tail feathers this evening.....Our friend, Gwen, let her 4 chickens out to do some "free ranging" in the yard, and Spinner decides he wanted to chase and try to catch one...I saved the hen, but Spinner has learned that his Mommy Dog will slap him on his butt and send him to the house when she's angry....He's 6 yrs. old and acts like a teenager...but all's well that ends well...needless to say, his bed time walk was done on his leash even though the yard is fenced in.... Scared me to death as not only do the hens give nice eggs, but they are Gwen's pets....they even have names.. So in the future, Spinner will go to the 5er when the hens are out..... :|

Anyways....now for the fun stuff......

Spinner has started a new pose in the truck when we are traveling...don't know why, but he looks so comical, I just had to share....He looks like he's saying that it's to help him in case there are any sudden stops.... ;)

And Ernie has a new name here....He's the Slim Jim Man....

He has Spinner and Diamond trained to stand on their hind legs for pieces of Slim Jims.... Diamond will walk on her hind legs for him, too...Spinner says that he'll only stand...that walking is for the little dog.... ;)

Okay, that's all from the Low Country of GA for now....There's boat ride in the works for Saturday....stay tuned... ;)

Yes, some...he's been at places lately, such as the Hayfield boondocking and here at Andy & Gwen's with the fenced in backyard, so he's gotten to run loose....but no more chasing chickens...   ;)

Cute pose.

Can't get Nicky to play with toys but he sure would have joined Spinner in the chicken chase.

I'm sure he thinks mommy is a real killjoy. A dog just can't have no fun. I like his new pose.

So glad that Spinner is out having fun (except for the danger to chickens part :o ) I hope that you are still feeling a little stronger and better each and everyday and all that energy that was being sucked out of your spirit by stress is now focused on adventures, friends, laughter and joy!

I love his new pose, maybe he is ready to jump out at any chicken crossing you might encounter  Love the picture of Slim Jim and his dancing doggies.

Oh, those chickens! Who could resist chasing them? (Seriously -- I'm glad they weren't hurt.) I love Spinner's new traveling pose.

So good that you're laughing again. Hurrah!

Thanks, Tina, and all the rest of you.....for the support and prayers....Yes, I am doing better...still get a little tired, but hey, we're retired..I can nap without guilt... ;) The doctors all said that it would take a good 6-8 weeks to full heal....it's been 5 weeks so far...but being 60, not 24, this time, it will take a little longer.... Oh, well, this too will all pass...just have to have patience and not try to rush things.....Okay, I'm done now....back to petting my "chicken chasing" dog...

And don't try try to rush things. Take the entire 8 weeks and even more if you need it. Let Spinner do the running, when the chickens are in!
