Welcome to the forum, Olive. We are looking forward to hiking and running around in the fenced areas with you. (Stuart wants to know if you like water.... He is always looking for pups to go swimming with him...in alligator-less water. :o :) )

Hi Remington,
I like the wading pool my mom puts out for me on hot days, but I've never been in a bigger body of water. I've never been hiking, either. I think there are lots of new adventures in my future. I'm timid at first, but like to play once I'm comfortable. I hope we meet some day.

Olive looks like a real beauty.
Tina's Remi would likely recommend staying out of all water but Stewart would be more that willing to show her how to handle deeper water swims. He is pretty good at it.

All I know is that she's part dachshund. Even the vet couldn't make a guess. She has a big dog body on little dog legs. When I got her, she was about 9 months old, her head was as big as her whole body. She is very odd looking but still pretty. And she's very sweet.

As soon as life slows down, I'm getting Olive a Scooby of her very own. The Scooby in the picture goes to the same doggy daycare Olive goes to. Being around other dogs keeps her socialized and thin. Like me, she tends to plump up. :D

She is a gorgeous girl, and her color does remind me of a black olive. Congrats. She looks like a mellow traveler.

I'd never had a dog and had no interest in having one. But one day I saw this amazing creature who needed a home, and I fell in love. To say she was odd looking is an understatement. If I can find a picture of her then, I'll post it. Her coat was shiny and pure black. Her head was huge for her body and she had these tiny, short legs. When she curled up to sleep, she looked like an Olive. (I didn't name her, so that's the story I made up to explain her name. Works for me.) She isn't pure black any more; her undercoat is gold. She's still very odd looking in a pretty way. People just don't know what to make of her. Found the picture. It doesn't quite show how huge her head was compared to her body. But you'll get the idea.

Huge head = large brain! A good thing in a dog for sure.

Dear Aunt Emily,
My mom said that I'm smart enough to thank you myself for your kind words about my noggin. I'm very fond of it and know that its size makes me smarter than the average mutt. Mom thinks I don't understand her when she says come, but I'm just outsmarting her because I know that if I wait long enough she'll give me a cookie. :D Cookies are my favorite thing next to squirrels.
Your friend,
Olive
