Hugs to you and Spinner and licks from Molly. It's always an anxious time when the 4-footers are acting up with anything not usual. Keep us posted as you narrow the ailment down and get it righted!

Come to think of it, I have heard some dire comments about Febreeze causing some nasty reactions in pets. Even toxic reactions. So happy to read Spinner is feeling ever-so-much-better since you tossed that chemical stuff!

All scented products can cause reactions in us and our pets. The less of them you use or have around, the better off all of you will be. (Many hate that thought, but it's the truth!) Glad you found the culprit and Spinner is back to being his happy self.

Spinner did you a big favor by having you find the culprit. I just took an article about air fresheners to the local coffee place I hang out at as I can smell their bathroom air stuff way up front.
check out this web site, they also have a special section for moth balls that anyone using them might want to read.

I had no idea they could cause pulmonary problems, I did know of the respiratory issues. Now why would they let this stuff be on the market!!??

Here is a little of what health problems air fresheners can cause.
chemically-scented fragrance and/or aerosols propelled by butane, propane or other toxins create an indoor environment of fresh air. Chemical "deodorizers" or chemical air "fresheners" only mask other odors. These products do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of indoor air, and in fact, can contribute to a host of ailments from headaches, high pulse rate and nausea; to mention a few.

Reports of the dangers of chemical air "fresheners" are just beginning to make the news. A recent MSN article stated that being exposed to air "freshener" chemicals as little as once a week can increase your odds of developing asthma symptoms as much as 71 percent and can contribute to an increased risk of a number of pulmonary diseases. [2] The article went on to state that "A 2006 study showed that people with high blood levels of the chemical 1.4 dichlorobenzene -- commonly found in air fresheners -- were more likely to experience a decline in lung function."

I, for one, don't use any air fresheners and I have a hard time burning scented candles on holidays. About the only scent I can take for any length of time is vanilla and it has to be mild.
On the other hand I do use Bounce fabric softener sheets but I don't feel they leave much of a smell on my clothes.
I have 3 bottles of expensive cologne that I use perhaps 3xs a year and then I just spritz the air and quickly walk thru it.
When I had my scalp surger the dermatologist office game me strict instructions to bathe and not use any lotions, perfumes, hairspray etc. but to show up smelling au naturale.
