Sandi, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Krissi tonight. Our pets are our best friends and are there for us thru thick and thin. It is so heartbreaking when they are going thru a difficult time. Look into all your options and make your decisions from your heart. Hope things turn out good for Krissi and you can love on her for a few more years!

Sandi, so sorry to hear about Krissi's issues. Hoping your vet will have a better solution.

Hi Sandi,
Sorry you are facing this with your little one. UC Davis Vet Hospital is one of the best in the US and is not too far from you. I have taken 3 different dogs there over the years and always had good results. It might be worth a visit to get a second opinion. They are absolutely amazing. http://www.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/vmth/

Best wishes for a full recovery~

Thank you all for your prayers which I pray are helping. Krissi seems to be holding her own this morning. The good thing is she hasn't gotten any worse and has tried to take a few steps. Her back legs are still very weak. She's not supposed to have any exercise to allow healing of any damage. I ordered a pet stroller yesterday because she loves to get out in the fresh air. Your continued prayers that she will make it out of this with a good quality of life would be appreciated.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart because I'm convinced your prayers are working. In the beginning I hesitated about posting for fear people might think I wasted their time if Krissi got better. But then I thought, "How is she going to get better without their prayers." So I went for it and she seems to be continuing to improve with your prayers. She's walking a little better this morning. I still carry her on the stairs and when walking outside. Her pet stroller should arrive tomorrow. We will continue with her medications and to follow the vet's instructions on no exercise. Hopefully this is going to end well. Thank you.
