Sad weekend

Postby Othersharon » Sun May 01, 2022 9:50 am

Yesterday I had to let my buddy, Rascal cross over. He has been having more down days then up days and finally let my head over rule my heart and do what was best for him. I will always have great memories of the thirteen and a half years we were fortunate to have together. Right now my heart is breaking and the tears are flowing.

I am so sorry to read this today. It is always so devastating to lose our furbabies. Fortunately most of us know when it is time to ease their suffering. He will live in your memories and your heart forever tho.

I am so sorry to hear this. My sincerest condolences to you.

If words would help your pain, I would say them. I can only offer my favorite poem instead, in the hope that it might help.

The Secret

We have a secret, you and I
that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie
each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
before we go to bed
and feel the living warmth of you
and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths
and see ahead of me,
your small form racing with the wind
so young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
in every brook I pass
and when I call, no one but I
can see the bending grass.

I weep with you.

Oh, Sharon, I'm so sorry. Hugs! That is one of the toughest things to do. Rascal will remain in your heart and thoughts forever.

Sorry for your loss. May your heart remember while it is breaking to cherish and be grateful that we are the lucky ones to have known and shared such unconditional love.

So sorry to hear this Sharon. I’ve always enjoyed times when you’ve mentioned Rascal and his name always brought a smile. I know you will miss him terribly, but I’m sure the wonderful memories will ease the pain and keep him in your heart forever. (((((HUGS)))))
