Sasha

Postby slgulezian » Tue Feb 21, 2012 11:39 pm

I adopted Sasha (formally snowey) 4 1/2 years ago when she was 2 from the Englewood Florida Humane Society. She has been abused, was scared of people and jumpy. I saw the loving qualities in her and brought her home. It took me about a year to get her to trust me and now she is the most loving warm cat I ever had. She is like my soul mate. Because I love her so much I have decided to leave her at the house my sister and I lived in. My sister loves her to death and the feelings between Sasha and her are mutual. As much as I love her I don't thing she would be so happy in a RV. I'll get to visit her and thats ok. Oh I did find a RV in Ft Myers I am going to look at. Its 31 ft and very nice. Back to Sasha. She is totally white angora, with the most beautiful green eyes. She was declawed on all four paws before I got her, micro-chipped, spaded and had all her shots. She cannot go out but she has the leni and the pool so she thinks she is outside. She is very happy and content. I am going to try to post a picture (this is my first time posting on her so it may now work. lol). So here goes. Meet Sasha

She is gorgeous!! What an angel you are to have adopted her knowing she was so scared. My shelter cat was the same way and after a year, she is totally awesome and gets more loving all the time.

I am sure she will be fine at home while you are on the road.

Sasha is absolutely gorgeous! I know how difficult it is to part with one of our furry companions, but applaud you for knowing what's best for dear Sasha and for being selfless enough to do so. When I went to Scotland for three months to be with Dave prior to our marriage, my two kitty boys (brothers) went to live with their godparents in Texas. I felt like a mother abandoning her children! It was the best for all involved and the kitties and godparents thrived in each other's company.

You can tell Sasha is such a sweetheart from the photo. Thanks for sharing!

Sasha is gorgeous. And I know it'll be hard to leave her - but sounds like you have found the best solution for all of you.

WELCOME TO SASHA AND SASHA'S MOTHER WHOSE-NAME-I-CAN'T FIGURE OUT! I missed welcoming you in the intro room...perhaps your name is in there. In the meantime, I'll call you Sig!

Sasha is a beautiful kitty and looks as content as can be-----another wonderful adoption and salvation! Congrats!

My cat Sasha had a matt on her back we could not get out so we took her to the groomers. Here in Florida they shave the cat and give her the special "Lion Look" She looked so funny, I am still laughing. Thank goodness it will grown in.

My dad has an orange persian cat and he gets her shaved twice a year like that (except for the tail, they leave the whole thing long). She just loves it and purrs constantly when she gets done! (I do like the pompom on the tail tho).

I have 2 long hair Maine Coon sisters. Pinky has very fine hair and it is hard to keep her from getting mats. Her sister's hair isn't as fine and doesn't mat as bad. Pinky thinks when I'm in the bath room I don't have anything else to do so I should pet her. I put her brush in there so I brush her when I'm in the bathroom. I wish she would let me use the vacuum because it's a lot of hair. I can't imagine one of mine letting someone clip them. I think there would be a lot of blood involved. lol
