Plaque Off

Postby Redetotry » Tue Dec 07, 2010 10:58 am

Has anyone else heard of or tried Plaque Off? It is a seaweed based product and seems to work. I've only used it for about 4 days and can already tell a big difference in doggy breath. Here is a link to their web site http://www.plaqueoff.com/proden_plaqueo ... animal.htm
I noticed on the home page that a similar product is available for people. It is also at Amazon. I was lucky in that my neighbor gave me some to try. For under 25# s you use a very tiny amount less than 1/8 teaspoon. Will see if it does anything for plaque before I schedule a cleaning for the little ones. They seem to need it every year $$$$

Wow - the 5 star reviews (which are the greatest in quantity) are wonderful for this product.

Thanks for the heads up. I went on line and ordered a 60g bottle for $16.99 plus shipping (www.entirelypets.com). Both my older guys, Sassy and Buddy, should have their teeth cleaned once a year BUT I no longer want to put them under anesthesia because of their age. Thanks again.

Thanks for the head's up. I've been brushing Peaches teeth- but not as often as I should. Going to have to give this a try. And need to brush her teeth more often.

I get raw knuckle bones for Monty from the local butcher shop. Keeps his teeth clean naturally and he gets all the chewing he wants.

I've been using the Plaque Off on my two little ones and while I don't notice a reduction in the accumulation, within about 5 days there was a considerable improvement in there breath. Ahhh sweet kisses!!
I'm going to have to schedule cleaning for them but hopefully if I keep using this it will keep the plaque from coming back. I noticed on the web site for this that they also make one for people. My friend who gave this to me said she had used it too (the dog formula) for awhile and didn't seem to bother her! Nope, I'm not trying it!
